No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth…

No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth… Just Phding, summering (with kiddo), teaching and mentally preparing for sending my little to KINDER! Can you believe how fast the time flies. I started this blog in 2012, when he was 2 years old and I was in year 2 of my Phd Journey.. I had anticipated on finishing this fall as I sent him to Kinder, but after taking multiple courses year one and two, I HAD to take some time off from my program. Lesson learned: slow and steady wins the race, over commit, take too many classes at once, or push too hard in your PhD program you will explode!

Research is going well. At the beginning of my journey there were not a lot of studies on Social Media and Brand Loyalty… Now there are a few, but none really aligning closely to my Dissertation topic. Which is a good thing! My concept map (hanging on my office wall staring at me daily) is not as neat as it once was, so this tells me I am on the right track! Next step is identifying a brand or product category to study.

I hope each of you is having a wonderful summer! Look for more recent posts in the coming weeks.

So glad to hear that you’ll be back this fall. You inspired me sign up for my next class!
p.s. My little one missed the kindergarten cut-off date by 3 weeks. I’m fine with that – no rush to send him off yet. 🙂

I still consider you wonder woman — student, professor, mom — not exactly in that order. I hope you have a great summer. By the way, I’m still hoping we can meet up at a marketing conference some day. Idea – Rand Fishkin is coming to Indianapolis on June 19, 2016.

    Take care,

Hey Anna! Superwoman … well I don’t exactly feel like that!! Hoping to get my “schedule” back once school starts. Its been tough fitting in all of the fun summer time stuff with the not so fun Phd writing! But we are having fun: ice cream, pool, play dates, shopping, museum, crafts, movies…. and more! And its only been a month since PreK finished!

I can definitely relate. I’m in my last course at SNHU while simultaneously doing summer stuff with kids, consulting a new client, and looking for a job. I can’t complain though. We are blessed beyond measure, and I have loved being a student-consultant-mom. Best of luck to you. Please keep in touch. 🙂

I agree, I have enjoyed being “around” and “present” as my little guy grows up. I have been there for every first! Sad to see him leaving Preschool… and the elementary is full of ‘big’ kids, he looks so small in the halls! But he can’t wait to go!
